Vishleshan'11 comprises Analytics Conclave and Case Study Competition.

 

(1) Analytics Conclave

The central theme of the Conclave is 'Predictive Analytics: Improving insights for better Decision Making'.

The Market is witnessing an unprecented shift in Business Intelligence (BI), largely because of technological innovation and increasing business needs. The latest shift in the BI market id the move from traditional analytics to predictive analytics. 

Past and present insight and trend information are not enough to be ccompetitive in business. Business organisations need to know more about the future, and in particular, about future trends, patterns, and customer behaviour in order to understand the market better. 

Intellectual speakers from various backgrounds will provide valuable inights into the Predictive Analytics and its applicablity in the Business environment. 

 

(2) Case Study competition

Case Study is divided in two stages:

First level is home based in which a case study will be mailed to you and you have to mail it back with the solutions within stipulated time. On 6th October, you will get your case study Level1 on your respective e-mail IDs. You have to mail the case study solution on analytics@mbe-du.org in either doc/xls/ppt format by no later than 12th October. A confirmation mail regarding your Level 1 clearance and an invitation to campus will be sent to you by 14th October.

Second level is campus based in which Top 5 teams selected at the first level will be invited to campus and a distinguished panel from industry will judge the contention.

 

To participate in the competition, please follow these steps :
1. Form a team of not more than 3 members.
2. Drop a mail at analytics@mbe-du.org containing your college name, name of each participant, email ID and contact number.

Rules and regulations:
1. All participants in a team have to be from same Institute.
2. Vishleshan'11 is open for all full time MBA/management students.
3. Only 1 participant must register its team by mailing us.
4. Last date to register your team is October 5,2011. No nominations will be accepted after the deadline is over.
