Marketing Marathon 2010
Mumbai, February 27, 2010: Vivekanand Education Society’s Institute of Management Studies and Research held Congruence ’10; its annual Management event on 27th February 2010. The theme this year was Marketing and was aptly titled “Marketing Marathon”, it turned out be a spectacular roller coaster ride as speakers from varied verticals brought forth their thoughts and suggestions for the future.
One of the most awaited speakers was Mr. Jagdeep Kapoor Chairman, Samsika Marketing Consultants Pvt. Ltd. who was the key note speaker for the event , his talk on “Branding Strategies in India” set the pace for the event and charged up the students, other prominent talks included Professor Dr. Cheema , Sr. Professor Marketing, GN Khalsa College (Rural Marketing ) and Ms. Veena Gidwani , CEO, Madison Public Relations (The Power of PR) who took the students through some of the unique and successful PR campaigns.
This was followed by Mr. Rakesh Agarwal of JSW who stressed on the importance of Steel marketing and how integral it is to differentiate one from the others.
The event also had Mr. T K Cherian, Global SME Head; TCS speak on IT Marketing his energetic style of oratory was extremely well received by the audience. Later on RJ Neil from Red FM (93.5) had an informal tete-a– tete with the students on “Power of Radio Advertising” and spoke of infotainment that is unique to the world of FM stations.
Some of the other speakers post lunch were Mr. Abhinav Kakade, Sr. Director (NPD & International), Neoacceal who urged the youth to think of path-breaking creative solutions to problems, he was followed by Mr. Supratim Chaterjee (Media Marketing), a freelancer who has been associated with some of the big media brands such asand lastly Mr. Puneet Bhatnagar; The Creativity Mission Co-founder and NLP Trainer who ended the day by encouraging the students to think beyond “thinking out of the box” !!!
